about me

My name is Bas Boland, a front-end developer born in the Netherlands. During my Communications & Multimedia Design studies at the HAN University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands I did a mix of interaction design, visual design and programming. For a long time, however, I've been attracted to front-end development. So after my graduation I decided to start a career in front-end development, determined to become the best at what I do.

Since the start of my career I have been focusing on HTML5, CSS3, Sass, responsive web design, A/B-testing and e-mail marketing for big companies in the Netherlands. Recently I started to improve my JavaScript programming skills.

One thing I love doing is figuring out how to do my job better, faster and more efficiently. I regularly try out new techniques which often result in an improved workflow and give me more time to think creatively about the problem at hand.

I have a passion for traveling and experiencing new things like food, cultures and people. Every day brings a new challenge and a chance to learn and to improve myself. I have changed a lot over the last few years, and I have only just started.
